KYOTO INTERNATIONAL MANGA ANIME FAIR 2016 (in short KYOMAF) is a general manga and anime event that brings all the latest news, exhibitions, stages and merchandize to the general public.
The attractions and contents in all 3 separate venues are different. Please be aware that the opening time and entrance fee for each venue differs as well.

Regular Ticket costs 1,200JPY (tax included).Primary school students and below (guardian assistance needed) and foreigners (upon showing the passport) enter for free.
The ticket to Miyako Messe costs 1,200JPY for junior high school students and above. Primary school students and younger enter for free.
Primary school students need assistance of a guardian (20 years and above).
Foreigners can enter for free upon showing their passport.
However in case of the advanced lottery stages, foreign visitors must buy the stage lottery ticket the same as other visitors. Only those chosen in the lottery can take part in the stage events.
To prevent overnight cuing we will be selling priority entrance tickets that allow earlier entrance to the venue. The priority tickets will be sold through a lottery and are additional to the regular admission tickets.
* For priority entrance please purchase a regular admission ticket as well. You will not be able to enter the venue with only the priority ticket.

Applications for the Priority Tickets lottery are open from 1.9.2016 (Thu) 9:00 to 11.9.2016 (Sun) 23:59 at Lawson Ticket Website.

Priority Tickets allow visitors to enter the venue from 9:00. The admission will be carried out in order of the ticket number.

There is a parking area, but because of big crowds during the event we recommend using public transport. The parking at Miyako Messe has space for 163 vehicles. It is open from 7:00 to 23:30 (entry until 22:00).
The parking space at Miyako Messe and the Okazaki Koen Parking (7:30~23:00) in the area cost 500 JPY for the first hour and 200 JPY for each following 30 min.
There are only a few spaces for parking. Because of big crowds during the event we strongly recommend using public transport.

We do not empty the Open Stage venue, but please refrain from securing seats by leaving your belongings.
Please refrain from eating and drinking in the stage area. Use the Character Café or the rest spaces inside Miyako Messe.
Taking pictures, videos and audio recordings of the cast on both KYOMAF Stage and Open Stage is forbidden. If the staff notices such behavior your data might be deleted or confiscated, or you might be asked to leave the venue.
You cannot give letters and gifts directly to the cast of both KYOMAF and Open Stage. However, we will prepare gift boxes at the stage entrances, where you can leave your gifts.
If you do not have the ticket for the stage please ask the closest staff for assistance.
Smoking in the whole venue is prohibited. Please use the smoking space at B1F outside.

There are coin lockers at the 1st floor. Big for 300 JPY(W36cm×D48cm×H77cm), small for 200 JPY(W36cm×D42cm×H39cm)per day. There are only 24 lockers, so we advise using the lockers on the train stations etc.
No pets are allowed into the venue, except service dogs.
Yes you can. The venue is barrier-free. However, please bear in mind that some of the corridors are slightly narrow and the whole venue gets quite crowded during the event. You are also welcome to ask staff members for assisting your entrance and exit, however there is no staff designate for exclusive assistance.
You can use Miyako Messe Wi-Fi at 3F, 1F and B1F lobby on your phones, tablets and other devices for free.
Please use the Character Cafe or one of the Miyako Messe rest spaces.

There is a long line of visitors every year. This year as well, a large number of visitors is expected. However the entrance in the afternoon hours is relatively smooth, comparing to the morning hours.

There is a Cosplay Area and Changing Room in Miyako Messe.

Please do not come to the venue in your costume. Do not use public transportation and neighboring facilities / toilets while cosplaying.
The changing room is on B1 Floor of Miyako Messe.
For using the changing room you need the Cosplay Registration, which costs 1,000JPY (tax included) per day.

It is a stamp rally for families, which will take place around Miyako Messe and Kyoto Municipal Zoo.
At the rally points you can have fun by collect stamps and taking pictures.
We will be distributing free rally papers at the rally points. The event is free of charge.
Some of the stamp points are situated in places that need additional entrance fee, however you can still enjoy the rally in the free of charge area.
It will be announced soon.
The rally points will be all in walking distance from each other.
To take part in the rally you will need to use regular streets outside of the venue. Please beware of cars and bicycles.
The organizer does not take any responsibility for accidents and injuries that occurred during the Stamp Rally.
The goal of the Stamp Rally will be located here. We are also planning other family oriented events.
