For the first time In KYOMAF, we are preparing a Cosplay Area and Changing Room in Miyako Messe. Special photo backgrounds will also be available in the hall. We are awaiting all the cosplayers and cosplay fans.

Precautions

The area outside of Miyako Mess is a public space used by regular visitors. Please refrain from any dangerous behavior that might cause trouble to the surrounding visitors. The event organizer will not take any responsibility for accidents and trouble.
If you do not follow the rules or staffs’ instructions, you may be asked to leave.
Please follow the rules below, and any additional guidance and instructions from our staff.

Overall Rules

For using the Cosplay Changing Room, in addition to the KYOTO INTERNATIONAL MANGA ANIME FAIR 2016 (Miyako Messe) Entrance Ticket, additional Cosplay Registration Fee is needed (1,000JPY per day).

Cosplay Registration will be conducted inside of Miyako Messe, at the Cosplay Area.

Please refrain from any actions disturbing the passage of the regular visitors.

The event might be cancelled in case of a big accident or trouble.

Regarding small tools and decorations

Sharp objects that can injure other users, weapons and arms are strictly forbidden.

Long objects are allowed in reasonable sizes that do not inconvenience others.

Explosives, model guns or air guns that can be fired are strictly forbidden.
※If an item is judged by the staff to be a danger or inconvenience, such item might be confiscated.

Regarding items not allowed at the venue

Ladders, steps, tripods, monopods, reflectors and photography umbrellas are allowed, but please keep them folded while you are moving.

Regarding costume and makeup

Please refrain from wearing costumes that can be offensive to others, as well as currently used uniforms of police officers, firefighters, members of Self-Defense forces etc. (some uniforms are allowed in case of certain manga/anime titles).

Please refrain from wearing highly revealing costumes.

Please refrain from excessive blood make-up.

Please do not bring substances that can dirty other people or the venue (such as paint, color spray, nail polish etc.).

It is not possible to arrive at the venue, leave the venue, or return home while cosplaying.Please change out of your cosplay when leaving Miyako Messe.

If a costume is judged by the staff as inappropriate, you might be asked to change your clothes.

Regarding Photography

Please ask for permission before taking pictures of others.

Please refrain from photography that is an inconvenience for those around or with extreme poses that corrupt public morals.Also, please do not force others to pose.

Photographs taken within the venue may not be used for commercial purposes.

Press and various media representatives will be present at the venue. When asked for an interview or photo, please check the PRESS Badge issued by the organizers first.

For record and promotion purposes organizer’s photographers will also be present at the venue. Your pictures might be taken. We thank you for your understanding.

Regarding changing into your costume

When changing clothes, please use the changing room provided within the Miyako Messe venue. Cosplay Registration (charged) is needed to use the changing room. Changing clothes or putting on makeup in neighboring facilities, within the venue, in the bathrooms, etc., is prohibited.

It is possible to use the changing room repeatedly on the day of the fair.

Photography is prohibited in the changing room, regardless of whether with a camera, mobile phone, or smartphone. Also, please leave the lens cap on in the changing room.

Volatile substances or substances with a strong odor are prohibited within the changing room (hair spray, nail polish etc.).

Washing and cutting your hair in the changing room is prohibited.

You can leave your luggage in the changing room, but the organizer does not take any responsibility for the loss, theft, or damage of your belongings. Please carry all your valuables with you and do not leave them unattended.

Other Precautions

If you have any questions during the fair, please ask the staff.

Please take your trash with you and do not leave it at the venue.

You cannot distribute any leaflets or take surveys within the venue.

Please look out for theft. The organizers do not take any responsibility.

Any articles found in the venue will be stored for one month after the fair. Please contact GO-TAN!for any missing belongings. Please be aware that items such as food, drinks, socks, underwear and other dirty or wet items will be thrown away.

The organizers do not take any responsibility for the loss of personal belongings, stains and damage of costumes, personal image infringement resulting from consent photo shoot and other losses that occurred during the event.
