To mark the 80th anniversary of the end of the war, the Kyoto International Manga Museum will hold a special exhibition, ‘MANGA AND WAR 2’ showcasing a variety of war manga, which will be a traveling exhibition held in Okinawa and Kyoto. For an introduction to original war manga art that should be read/appreciated now, we introduce the works of Shinzato Kenshin and Oshiro Kogani.

The TV anime series “Nyaight of the Living Cat,” which premiered on July 7, 2025, has become a hot topic overseas. At the Kyoto International Manga Museum, the second venue of the Kyoto International Manga and Anime Fair (KYOMAF) 2025, a special talk event was held with director Tomohiro Kamiya and series composer Shingo Irie.
